Ministry and Leaders

BRIDGE PASTOR CINDY AASEN

Pr. Cindy Aasen is a familiar face to many in our community. She has served Kenosha area ELCA congregations in many capacities for the past 30+ years.  Beginning in 1986, she served St. Mary’s Lutheran Church as the Youth and Education Pastor for 14 years. She “retired” from that position to be a stay-at-home mom to her son, John. She has filled in with pulpit supply and for maternity leave at St. John’s Lutheran and Christ Lutheran in Paddock Lake. She became a substitute teacher at Grewenow Elementary which led to working in the computer lab and becoming a parent liaison.  Recently she finished a 4-year term serving as the interim youth director at Lord of Life.  Cindy and her husband, Steve, have three children: John, Jeremy and Jen, as well as four grandchildren. In her spare time,Cindy enjoys reading and doing artistic welding.

CONGREGATION LEADERSHIP

CHRISTINA OLDANI

Worship Leader

Christina has been playing with the Spirit Alive Praise Team for about ten years and absolutely loves it! She says, “We have a fantastic group of talented and loving people who come together with their musical gifts to share in worship with Spirit Alive. The people and the music feed my soul in a way nothing else can.”

Stacy Juga

Leadership Team Vice President

Hi! My name is Stacy Juga. I am the Vice President of the Leadership Team and a worship leader (singer) in the Praise Band here at Spirit Alive. I have been a member of Spirit Alive for about 5 years. Outside of church I own my own vintage business -- ``Stacy J's Vintage Antique and Consignment``. Check out my site on Facebook. I have 4 beautiful grandchildren and am married to a wonderful man.

Ann Livermore

Congregation President

Welcome to Spirit Alive! My husband and I became members because we wanted to connect and engage with a congregation that is relaxed, family-friendly and open to the needs of the community via service. I am a newly retired elementary/middle school teacher. We are excited about our space sharing with St. Paul's and the potential it brings for all of us. Come - connect with new folks, give ideas and suggestions, create new ministries and receive God's grace and love.

Donna Jensen

S.A.L.T. (Spirit Alive Leadership Team)

I have been a member of Spirit Alive since 2002. In the past, I have been especially blessed by the opportunity to be involved in the Spirit Alive youth program. I have also served on the Leadership Team on two separate occasions. I consider this church and the people who attend Spirit Alive to be my ``family.`` I love each and every one of them.

ROSIE HATCHER

S.A.L.T. (Spirit Alive Leadership Team/Secretary)

Hello and welcome to Spirit Alive! My wife Anne and I have belonged to Spirit Alive since 2002. We were drawn to Spirit Alive for its welcoming and accepting approach to spreading the Word of God. Spirit Alive is a wonderful community where members become like family while helping serve the community at large. I have served on S.A.L.T. on two different occasions and am excited for the future of Spirit Alive! Outside of church, I am a practicing small animal veterinarian and my wife and I enjoy training and showing our dogs in a variety of activities.

Welcome to Spirit Alive! I am happy to be a member of such an open, welcoming congregation. I live in Pleasant Prairie with my husband, Kevin, having raised three sons. I love our the Spirit Alive difference, particularly our commitment to helping our community neighbors! Karen Thomas

Office Volunteer

I’m excited about Spirit Alive’s growth as a new welcoming church. We are able to worship now in a real building! I love being back in the office able to help out.

Stan Livermore

Volunteer Coordinator

Recently retired, and rather unable to remember much anymore, Stan is sticking to written work... like keeping track of our Sunday worship workers and fellowship folks in this job as Volunteer Coordinator. You can find him most Sundays running around with clipboard in hand signing us up to keep Sundays sailing along. If he remembers that it is Sunday that is.
